Tekla enters Russian Market with a localized software product

February 25 2008

The first seminar in Russia on Tekla Structures software was organized on Tuesday 19 February in Moscow. This event was organized in co-operation with CNC machine manufacturer Ficep, Tekla Corporation and Tekla Structures Russian reseller VentSoft. There were more than 50 companies present representing the major steel fabricators in the area.

Tekla feels confident in entering the new world of opportunities in Russia with the upcoming Tekla Structures 14 software version which will include a fully localized Russian environment. Since the beginning of this year Tekla has operated in Russia through local Moscow-based reseller OOO VentSoft, a company that also represents MagiCAD, the leading 3D software for building services design that integrates with Tekla Structures.

According to market research, Russia is a challenging market but also the one showing the strongest IT growth at the moment. Its fast-growing economy offers construction opportunities as well as an acute demand for more office and retail space and modern infrastructure. The offering for 3D software tools supporting construction has so far been poor.
