ASSOCHAM wants extension of Income-tax exemption

According to Infoprod, the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) has sought an extension of Income-tax exemption under Section 80 1A by a period of 20 years for all solid waste processing projects in view of significance that the solid waste management is gaining ground for their recycling.

 

Currently, solid waste processing projects are entitled to receive income-tax exemption under Section 80 1A only for a period of 10 years.
